at this point you have two options. one- don't take him to a vet or some sort of wildlife expert and he will likely die, as much as i hate to say it his chances aren't very good without some medical help. two- take him to a vet or wildlife expert, yes they will probably take him away but he'll most likely end up alive and in the wild, just like you wanted. i doubt anyone would disagree that the second choice is best for him.
