just leave the top off and he will leave as soon as he thinks there isn't any danger.Any idea on how to get a Red Squirrel out of a feeder?... lol?
The little guy will probly come out on his own, don't try to get him out yourself, they can be MEAN when frightend. If you leave it alone and he thinks there is no danger around, he will wiggle out. If you are still concerned after several hours of leaving him alone, you could put the whole thing in a secure box and take it to a vet, (preferably one that specializes in 'exotics'-which are small animals like rodents) but any vet should be able to put it in something called an ';ISO box'; to 'tank it down', what that is, is a little box they put like a seriously evil cat in, they pump anesthetic gas into it so the cat (or in this case squirell) falls asleep and then the vet can get his/her hands on the animal to help it out. Good luck!
If it got in on its own it can probably get out on it's own.

But if it's really stuck in there, I don't think you should mess with it. They can get really vicious when they're scared. If you do mess with it, wear like two pairs of thick leather gloves. I've seen them bite through a single pair.
Smash the feeder with a baseball bat

that will work
